Wolfgang got his start in piano repair in Germany, helping his Father build and repair organs. Since graduating from the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, Germany with a major in trumpet performance and a minor in piano, he has been teaching private music lessons in piano and trumpet and performing. He performed as first trumpet with the Munich Youth Symphony Orchestra, touring Spain and Andorra, and he toured Germany and France with the Munich Orchestra "Wilde Gungl", in which he was also a soloist. After serving as first trumpet in the 1st German Air Force Band, he immigrated to the United States, where he has continued to work as a musician, music teacher, and piano technician.

Wolfgang is a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild, and is member of the Board of the Chicago Chapter. He lives in Oak Park with his wife, their two daughters, and their au pair.
